Mystic Mountain Art Show
A juried show by Joe Scala of the student work from Mystic Mountain Art will be at the gallery for the first time. Mystic Mountain Art, owned by Joe Scala, made its debut this year in New Woodstock, NY providing art workshops for adults who seek to raise their level of visual artistic skills. All of the instructors are practicing artists with national or international reputations. A few teachers are from New York City and beyond, other local teachers include Wayne Daniels and Mary Padgett.
One of the paintings submitted is by The Gallery of CNY's own Drayton Jones who took a workshop by Peter Fiore who presently teaches at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and had work featured on the cover of nationally distributed periodical, The Artist's Magazine, September 2008. One of the show's highlights will include a piece submitted by Fiore himself.
