The Gallery of CNY’s mission is to represent only the most successful full-time working artists in Central New York. Our goal is to get the work of our artists into serious collectors hands and museums. We are striving to build our artist base and to help new buyers become serious art collectors.

We believe the artists we represent are making history for CNY just as artists of the Hudson River School made history. Many of The Gallery of CNY's artists study together; they influence each other and they are inspired by the same surroundings. The majority of our artists are recognized and have received acclaim both nationally and internationally.

The Gallery works with a group (Jury Board) to help direct decisions for the gallery.  We take our business seriously so that you will entrust us to help you collect. We believe that our commitment to representing only the best of the best CNY artists allows our clients to buy with confidence.

At The Gallery of CNY, you'll find:

  1. 1.Artwork that increases in value as an investment

  2. 2.Award winning, nationally acclaimed, full-time working artists

Case Study:  Nicora Gangi a life long artist who is already nationally recognized and award winning in her field of pastels recently received a significant and prestigious grant through the Pollack-Krasner foundation to teach herself to paint in oil.  Her pastel work is highly sought and in some top regional collections.  Pastel work by the artist recently purchased for $800 was just eight to ten years ago sold for $75 (same size and quality).   In January 2009, The Gallery of CNY has purchased a full-page ad in the nationally recognized magazine, America Art Collector in which Nicora Gangi will be introduced to a new national market guaranteeing the demand and value of her to work to continue to increase.

Case Study:  Wayne Daniels, a life-long artist and Cazenovia resident is an oil painter in the 'Old Masters' style.  He is the most sought after artist at the gallery and has a waiting list of collectors who would like his work.  As of July 2008, his last painting sold the minute it came into the gallery for 29% more than a painting its same size just two months prior.  Please call or email to be put on the waiting list for a painting by the artist.

Case Study:  Joseph W. Sosnowski became a gallery artist for the first time in the  Fall of 2008.  His is a self taught artist with a promising future and is refining his the ability to capture the landscape of Central New York with his own style and technique.  The artist is already in one of the most presigious collections in the area and fits among a group of artists who are reknowned in the art world.

Case Study:  Drayton Jones became a full-time gallery artists in August 2007.  He had his first one-person show on September 21, 2007 at which his artwork sold out. We have slowly been raising the prices on Drayton’s work as it becomes more collectible and as Drayton receives more recognition and acclaim.  He just became a Signature Member of ‘Watercolor West’ and will show for the first time at the prestigious Saint David’s show this May 2007.  In April 2008, "Syracuse", a watercolor by Drayton Jones, sold at an auction for above its value.
