Thank you to all the artists and participants for being an important part of 'Just Flowers', The Gallery of CNY’s first juried show, and first show to be advertised nationally in American Art Collector magazine.
SPECIAL THANK YOU: A very special thank you Pam Swatkovski, Ann Gruppe, Toala Perry & Marlene Burrell for their fresh floral arrangements. These stunning arrangements reflecting the work in the paintings by Nicora Gangi, George Van Hook, Chris Baker & Mary Padgett and turned the show into an event not to be missed. Just Beautiful. Thank you for your hard work and for sharing your time and talents.
SALES: We are pleased to share we had 21 sales (11 sales from the night of the show) from the show.
JURIED FEES: We were pleased to give the Historic Cazenovia Business District (HCBD) $400 from our 'Just Flowers' show. Many galleries present juried shows to include artists outside their typical venues. We opened up 'Just Flowers' and received entries from local artists, one artist from Connecticut, and two artists who had never before entered a show. Galleries collect fees from the artists to cover the cost of administration of the show. We presented theses fees to the HCDB as part of our membership as well as additional support of the HCDB and the advertising fund for 2009.

From the Cazenovia Republican: “As winter reluctantly turns to spring, the Gallery of CNY exhibit “Just Flowers” reminds viewers what they have to look forward to in the coming months.
The gallery showcases the work of gallery artists such as Nicroa Gangi, Mary Padgett and Chris Baker. Local juried artists are also on display, with proceeds from their entry fee benefitting the Cazenovia Historic Business District.
Floral arrangements from Pamela Swatkovski, Ann Gruppe and Toala Perry will “echo” the arrangements of flowers in the artwork. Marlene Burrell of Flowers on Main is donating an arrangement based on one of the featured paintings by Mary Padgett. The arrangement will be for sale and the proceeds will also benefit the HCBD.”
